A Rihanna fan got the shock of her life when the singer revealed which of her own songs she’s least proud of – and it happened to be their favourite.

The Where Have You Been singer mingled with special guests at her latest Fenty Beauty launch in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Rihanna, who is pregnant with her first child, was kind enough to stop and film videos with fans at the event but one question took her aback.

In the clip shared on TikTok, the woman told the singer: ‘So people want to know when the album is but I have a better question,’ prompting a huge cheeky laugh from Rihanna.

‘What song are you most proud of that you’ve come out with?’ the fan asked.

As Rihanna pondered her answer, the woman revealed: ‘My favourite song is Unfaithful.’

However, it didn’t receive the reaction she no doubt expected as the singer turned to her with disappointment and said: ‘Most proud of?’

Finally giving her answer, Rihanna then disclosed: ‘I love Needed Me, I also love a good Diamond[s].’

Unfaithful, released in 2006, was only RiRi’s fourth single and peaked at number six in the US and two in the UK. The big ballad features her describing the painful experience that she knows her boyfriend is going through as she is cheating on him.

It has been a song of contention for Rihanna fans, with many loving the plot twist of her being the cheating partner, while others felt it was a weaker single among her early chart-topping hits at the time such as Umbrella, SOS and Pon De Replay.

Reacting to Rihanna’s scathing takedown of Unfaithful, one tweeted: ‘It’s reassuring to know that even Rihanna herself doesn’t seem to like Unfaithful that much lmao.’

‘This girl said “unfaithful” is her favorite Rihanna song. I have to laugh,’ another commented.

Agreeing with Rihanna’s decision, one admitted: ‘Happy Rihanna also doesn’t f**k with Unfaithful. Least fav song by far.’

However, others were devastated by the revelation, including one fan who said: ‘Unfaithful it’s perfect @rihanna, love u.’

‘You couldn’t pay me to tell rihanna my fav song of hers is unfaithful,’ one joked.

Another demanded to know: ‘You have beef with unfaithful?! @rihanna.’

Rihanna may be set to give birth to her first child with A$AP Rocky this spring, but the hitmaker recently confirmed that she still plans on releasing new music, with fans still desperately awaiting the arrival of her ninth studio album.
