Nicki Minaj declared that she was happy and sober on Twitter on Thursday while interacting with her fans.
‘I used to b happy when I was high. Now I’m happy when I’m sober. No judgement to anyone. Be gentle with yourself,’ Nicki, 39, tweeted for her roughly 24.9 million followers.
She also responded to a tweet that read: ‘baby are you high? @NICKIMINAJ’.
‘No I’m sober & loving life. You?,’ Nicki responded.
The Trinidadian-born rapper, real name Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, has a wide following on social media, including 185 million followers on Instagram.
Nicki last month released the surprise single We Go Up featuring Fivio Foreign.
A new music video for We Go Up was released on Tuesday and showed the rappers with luxury vehicles in New York City.
Nicki in the song alludes to her sobriety while rapping, ‘I know they sleeping on me b****es got epilepsy, I don’t do coke little b**** I don’t even do Pepsi’.
The so-called Queen of Rap has been working on her fifth studio album, which is expected to be released this year.
Nicki rose to fame with her 2010 debut album Pink Friday that featured her hit song Super Bass.
She’s been married since 2017 to Kenneth Petty.
Nicki and Kenneth have an 18-month-old son who she refers to publicly as Papa Bear.
She released her fourth studio album Queen in August 2018.
