Kim Kardashian was a vision in red while celebrating her 43rd birthday over the weekend.

To mark the milestone, the SKIMS founder hosted a celebrity-filled party last Friday night at Funke restaurant in Beverly Hills, wearing a patched bikini cutout maxi dress by Balenciaga.

The dress was first seen on the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 runway and is made entirely from swimwear fabric. The eye-catching look was accessorized with black shades, a small black Hermes purse, and a pair of bright orange heels. To top off the outfit, Kim wore a nude lip and her hair in loose waves.

This is the first time that The Kardashians star has worn a Balenciaga-designed outfit since last sporting a purse and sunglasses by the brand in April.

Kim had quietly stopped wearing the brand after its controversial 2022 holiday campaign that featured kids holding teddy bears dressed in bondage. She broke her silence days after its launch by sharing a statement on social media in which she condemned the brand and expressed that she would be “reevaluating” their working relationship.

“I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology,” her statement read in part. “In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”

Among the attendees at the reality star’s birthday celebration last week were Ivanka Trump, Lydia Kives, Lauren Sánchez, Hailey Bieber, and Kimora Lee Simmons. Her mom Kris Jenner, also attended, along with her sisters Khloé, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner

While her sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker missed the event due to being on “bed rest” as she undergoes the last stretch of her pregnancy, she expressed her birthday wishes in a post on Instagram.

“Happy happy birthday to my first sister @kimkardashian,” Kourtney, 44, wrote atop a throwback photo of herself and Kim on her Instagram Story.

“Thank you for all those years of bossing you around and you actually listening to all of my crazy ideas,” she continued. “People think the fights they’ve seen on tv are bad if only they got to witness the hair pulling, nail digging ones from early high school.”

While the two have been involved in an ongoing feud on the latest season of their reality television series, Barker ended the post by wishing her sister a “year with love and happiness and abundant joy.”
