Former Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic affirmed that he had more fun playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo than Lionel Messi.
Sharing with O Jogo newspaper, Pjanic said: “I talk a lot with Cristiano Ronaldo. I have many memories with him. He is a great player, the best I have ever played alongside.
Ronaldo is among the 2 and 3 best players in history. I was lucky enough to play with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and it’s hard to say who is better. However, I’m happier playing alongside Ronaldo than Messi.”
Pjanic is one of the lucky players to have been teammates with both Ronaldo and Messi. The Bosnian star had 77 matches alongside Ronaldo at Juventus, and 30 matches with Messi when he was with Barca.
Juventus is also the team that made Pjanic’s name, when he and the “Old Lady” won 4 Serie A championships, 2 Coppa Italia, and 1 Italian Super Cup. In addition, the 33-year-old player also reached the Champions League final once with Juventus, which was in the 2016/17 season, winning runner-up position.
Meanwhile, Pjanic went through a forgettable period at Barca. He arrived at Camp Nou in the 2020/21 season, only making a total of 30 appearances for the club in all competitions, with the team winning the King’s Cup.
