In the frames of the high-end jewelry promotion campaign called “About Love”, taken by photographer Mason Poole, the “Queen of Pop” Beyoncé wears a black evening dress with a modern design. than the iconic black dress worn by actress Andrey Hepburn in the classic “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, adorned with a pair of extremely luxurious mesh gloves. At the same time, Holly Golightly’s signature high bun hairstyle, done by hairstylists Jawara Wauchope and Nakia Rachon, is styled more modernly to match 2021 trends. The yellow diamond was discovered in the Kimberley diamond mine (South Africa) in 1877. A year later, Tiffany & Co founder Charles Lewis Tiffany bought this 287.42 carat rough diamond for $18,000. The diamond was then transported to Paris, where Tiffany’s diamond expert – George Frederick Kunz – re-cut it into a 128.54-carat rounded rectangle with 82 sparkling facets. This deal contributed to strengthening his reputation as the “King of Diamonds” in the jewelry industry at that time.

It is known that Beyoncé is one of four women who have worn the famous yellow diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co. The jewelry was first worn by social activist Mary Whitehouse in 1957, but in 1961, the necklace truly made a global splash when it was worn by actress Andrey Hepburn in the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. In 2012, the yellow diamond was placed in a necklace design with white diamonds weighing more than 100 carats to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Tiffany & Co. brand. This new jewelry design along with Lady Gaga appeared on the 2019 Oscars red carpet after 7 years of debut. And this is also the necklace that Beyoncé wore in Tiffany & Co’s new promotional campaign. Accordingly, Beyoncé became the first black woman and the fourth woman to ever wear this priceless yellow diamond necklace.
