Beyoncé’s $2.4 million mansion was burned by thieves
According to TMZ, at 6:00 p.m. on July 21 (local time), the New Orleans fire department (Louisiana, USA) received a signal from the fire alarm device of singer Beyoncé’s villa in the Garden District on fire. 22 firefighters were dispatched to the scene. After 2 hours of treatment, the fire was completely extinguished.
Luckily at the time of the fire, no one was in the villa. “There were no injuries, loss of life or anyone had to be evacuated. That’s lucky because if Beyoncé’s family was there, things could have been much worse,” the singer’s representative informed.

Beyoncé and her husband as well as the singer’s mother refused to comment further on the fire.
Latest update, New Orleans officials confirmed to TMZ that the fire was determined to be “simple arson” – that is, caused by a person. The police received a call from a suspicious person before arriving at the scene. When they arrived, the fire had begun to spread throughout the villa. Jay-Z and Beyoncé are hiring a professional cleaning team to handle the remains after the fire.
The burned Garden District mansion was built in 1927 as a Spanish baroque Presbyterian church before being reused as a ballet school. The villa consists of a 3-storey main mansion, 26m high, 1412 m2 wide, blue roof, 6 bathrooms and 6 bedrooms; along with 3 other houses. Legally, this villa is owned by a company run by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z also own many expensive homes in New York, The Hamptons, Houston and Bel-Air as well as own an island.
